Poca Go! Kids race gives 2-10 year olds a chance to explore their interest in MTB and competitive spirit.

Racers should sign up for the age category that they would be in on race day OR if they’d like to race a longer distance they can move up to a higher category (moving to a lower age category is not allowed). Each child may only sign up for 1 race.

Age 2-3:  Balance Bike Level 1 Course | 0.2 mi

Age 3-4:  Balance Bike Level 2 Course | 0.4 mi

Age 4: Pedal Bike Level 1 Course | 0.6 mi

Age 5: Pedal Bike Level 1 Course | 0.6 mi

Age 6:  Pedal Bike Level 2 Course | 1.1 mi

Age 7:  Pedal Bike Level 2 Course | 1.1 mi

Age 8:  Pedal Bike Level 2 Course | 1.1 mi

Age 8 (long course-Gateway loops 2x):  Pedal Bike Level 2 Long Course | 2.1 mi

Age 9 (long course-Gateway loops 2x):  Pedal Bike Level 2 Long Course | 2.1 mi

Age 10 (long course-Gateway loops 2x):  Pedal Bike Level 2 Long Course | 2.1 mi

Address
The GPS address is: 7298 Courthouse Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23832. Parking in this lot is limited. For older racers, consider parking at the pool parking lot via the park’s main entrance (off State Park Rd) and ride 1.5 miles to the race course next to the park’s Courthouse Rd parking lot.

The Race
All races will start on the gravel fire road from the parking lot and proceed to the Gateway trails. All races stay on the Gateway trails. This race will not be timed. Places are determined in order of finish for each category/heat. Each participant will receive a bib number, sticker, and ribbon.

Plan Ahead
Check-in will be open from 4:00pm-7:30pm and is located at the back of the the Courthouse Rd. parking lot. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the estimated start time for your child’s category in order to check-in.

Helmets are required! It’s recommended that you also bring: a water bottle/hydration, pre/post-race snacks, and bug spray.

Volunteers
The sign-up form also has volunteer opportunities. We need assistance at check-in, at the start/finish, as a parking lot attendant, as a course marshal, and at awards. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the time listed on the sign-up form.
