We are excited to be organizing Poca Go! for the 7th year! The FUNraiser race supports the mountain bike trails at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield County, VA. With categories from beginner to expert, and a kids race, Poca Go! brings the MTB community together for a fun day.

On Friday, June 20, there will be a FREE kids race. Fun for kids and parents, we all cheer for the racers. For older kids, this is a great way for them to explore their interest in MTB competition.  Ages groups range from 2-10 years old. See the Poca Go! Kids page for more information.

What Is Poca Go!?

Poca Go! is an enduro-style cross-country mountain bike stage race held on the Swift Creek single-track flow trails at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, VA. A racer is solo on each timed stage, not side-by-side with another racer. Each person is buffered by 30 seconds, so it’s just you, the trail, and the clock.

Poca Go! is well-supported with course marshals, medics on-site, hydration stations, bike maintenance stations, bathrooms, plus awards for the top finishers in each category.

Poca Go! is a 503c registered not-for-profit organization. The race is a fundraiser event staffed fully by volunteers from the local trail community, and all proceeds from the race will support the mountain bike trails at Pocahontas State Park.

Poca Go! is a part of the Virginia State Parks Adventure Series.

Refunds:

No refunds will be given for this race under any circumstances. We will do everything in our power to make this race a reality. If unforeseen circumstances arise and we aren’t able to hold the event, all race fees will automatically be considered as donations to the trails.

Poca Go! is designed to give you a challenge. We recognize you signed up to race, not a leisure ride.

It's rewarding.

This race is a fundraiser. Plain and simple, your entry is helping keep the race and the bike trails at Pocahontas State Park alive!

The race has various levels and something for everybody! We encourage a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

The race is on Saturday, June 21, 2025. There is no rain date.

We have levels from beginner to expert and age groups ranging from middle school kids to adult. Plus, there is a FREE kids race for 10 years and younger on Friday, June 20.

Free entry into the park for the race. Each racer will receive professional chip-timing, a well-supported race with bike maintenance stations, course marshals, medics, bathrooms, and hydration stations. Plus, awards for the top finishers in each category, coupons to our sponsors, and the chance to win awesome swag. AND FUN… and knowing that your participation supports our local trails and state park!
